I need some advice from classic car restorers about my situation, how to plan out my resoration over time?
I am in my last year of high school, i have a 71 mgb gt that needs a restoration, i want to have it ready as quick as possible. Theres not much that needs to be done, just some minimum bodywork. SOme professional advice. I'm not looking for a perfect showroom restoration though i do want a good and original one

- I would take a job in a local body shop if at all possible. You can learn how it's done there and use the shop equipment after hours usually.
- I have a 74 MGB and what I did was take it to a shop that does restoration work on MG's. He didn't have a paint booth because of the EPA so he farmed out his body work. I asked him about it and he told me who he used so I could take it straight to him. I left it with him though as I had some other work done at the same time. Anyway, ask around. Check with the car clubs and they can give you some solid advice.
