If you were buying a car, would you buy a hybrid car or a standard gasoline powered car?

- Given the choice, I would buy a diesel powered car since they get better mileage than gas powered ones, have better power and are more feasible for trips over 100 miles, like a hybrid. If you just want to reduce your "carbon footprint", just quit exhaling for a day.
- if everybody tomorrow stopped driving in about 50 years or so the carbon footprint from usa would be reduced by 1%/ china and india are huge populations and are Still building coal fired locomotives and coal fired electric power stations/soooooo all you people that want to stop exhaling and not driving better realize you are victims of the state run liberal media/its all bull pappy/one volcano like the one in iceland burps and its all over for y our carbon footprint time
- Normal gas powered car. I'm not paying several thousand more for an uglier car that only gets better mileage in stop and go traffic. The savings from not buying a hybrid would buy several years worth of gas. I do most of my driving on highways where a hybrid is just a regular car with a very expensive unused battery weighing it down.
- I would buy the standard gas powered car. Then I wouldn't have to be concerned with it breaking down and not being able to a mechanic. Any of the hybrids are several thousand dollars more anyway, I can buy a lot of gas for that much. I also rather like my carbon footprint being what it is, let the greenies worry about theirs.......
