Can you buy a used car if it's inspected in your state, but registered in another?
Okay. So here's the deal. I found a car on Craigslist that I would really like to buy. The lady had just got it inspected in my state (Texas), but the registration on it is still in her old state (California), along with her old plates. How would we go about doing this to where it would be registered in Texas? Would she have to do it before she sells it to us? Or can we go ahead and buy it, then do it ourselves? Thanks so much!

- first of all i know i can't speel for SHlT! so jsut try to ignor it! k? k! you can do it but i would do it because: 1. the lady probably stold it 2. she can take it from you at any time becasue on california it is STILL her car ligaly 3. if you get pull over they going to se that the car is not your on california and you mayth get on some problems if you can't call that lady! on the other hand you can wait a bit till the papers get change and the car get registare on texas because if not it would be like if that car is a illigal mexican (my cousin) texas is the U.S.A. and california is mexico (if hexotr read this he is going to get pist at me :P) one of my friends hade the problem when he when to the local polis station and stay ther for like 4 days because the guy he buy the car from was not in town but the car was originaly his! seling a gun is so much easer then selling a car (both ligaly)
