What are some ways that average persons can help the US economy? ?

how we can help the economy - my ideas: don't sell your stock or mutual funds hold onto it, prices will go up. Buy American made: clothes, electronics (GE, RCA), food, cars (I have owned Fords, Chevys and Toyotas: US cars are just as good). This will get our textile industries, car plants, steel plants, and other businesses going again instead of helping overseas corp. Do not support corporations (medical insurance companies, Exxon)) where the ceo's make millions. Support candidates who will put the US first. "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" (JFK)

1. good ideas. Here's one more: Stop borrowing money that you know you cannot pay off.
2. When it comes to economics,doing what's in your best interest is the best we can do. Only government can create big financial messes like we have now. Getting government off our backs is the best thing any of us can do. We need to stick together and stop feeding this big monster we call government.
3. Vote for Barack Obama. Funding a war in the middle east is draining this country. Tax cuts to high income people and big business do not trickle down to everyone who needs the money. The rich get richer, the middle class is disappearing and the poor get deeper into debt that they can't pay back. Stop the madness. The theory based government policies of the current administration do not deal with the complexities of heath care and energy costs. These issues are killing the people who we need to be productive and drive the economy. I am an old man. I have seen enough to switch parties. I want to help my country by restoring hope. The economy will follow.
