What is a cheap car insurance company for a teenager?

I am 18, and my parents bought me a car, I have a job $8/hr and I'm looking for an insurance company that won't be tooooooooooo expensive for me to pay each month.

1. Honey, just about anywhere you go, its gonna be around $100 a month. Id try Geico first. They were the cheapest for me when I was that age
2. It varies by company and your driving record since your a young driver it will be expensive either way. If you take a defensive driving course and are a current student with a B average you can get discounts. Statefarm was cheap for me and provided good service but it varies by where you live might be more expensive. Just shop around and get online quotes also go to a insurance agent that is affiliated with multiple insurance companies. And DONT go with Geico , They are horrible !
3. Don't believe the person who says Geico is horrible. I found them to be the cheapest when my kids started to drive. My daughter had an accident and I had a check in hand even before the repair was finished. My rate then actually went down when the policy renewed.
4. If your parents have an insured car, get on their insurance for your car. There is no such thing as a cheap insurance company for anyone, let alone a 18 year old. Tip: paying monthly for insurance is always more expensive. Since you want to save money, always pay for insurance for as long a term as you can get. Never monthly. I pay yearly
5. Asking an insurance company is the only way you may ever know the answer. No person here get the clear idea.Call around !
