I accidentally pulled in front of a hearse just before an intersection. There were patrol cars in front of it, for which I pulled over and let pass. I thought there was an emergency, and so pulled out after they had passed. The car I pulled in front of was a hearse, but I couldn't see that it was. An officer stopped me and said I'd get a citation in the mail (though he didn't look at my liscence or registration). I feel bad that I interrupted the procession, but I didn't do it purposefully or willfully; it was a mistake (I've had to ride in a hearse before, I understand). I am just worried about a citation like this appearing on my driving record and affecting my insurance. I don't really undertsand the full consequences of this type of violation. Is this something I could (or should even) contest? Thanks for your help!!
