I want to sell my car for parts?

I have a 1983 toyota corolla that I want to sell for parts. The wreckers offered me $50. Do you think I could get more if i sold parts myself on ebay? I cant sell the engine, but most everything else is in fine working condition.

1. I would try it youself and see if you get any takers. But yah junkers will give you the lowest amount of cash, so they make 10 times more then what they paid you..i'd give it a shot
2. no just get rid of the vech 50 is 50 or its just gonna sit there be done with it
3. The problem is, finding people who want & need your parts. It could take YEARS. Salvage yards are set up for it. They can buy a car for $50-100 and wait 2-4 years to get $150-300 out of it. Can you ?
4. Take it to a junk yard yourself. If you can take it to a metal recycle plant. They can give you a little more cash then $50 with all the copper wiring and different types of metal on the car.
