I found a 1996 nissan sentra for sale is it a good deal?
I found a used 1996 nissan sentra at a new car dealer with power windows, cruise control, and power door locks. Interior is in good shape. It is a trade-in they got a few days ago. It has 152,000 miles on it, but runs and drives great. My friend checked the oil and radiator and everything looks good. The engine doesn't smoke or leak oil, or make any funny noises. The paint is in good shape, but it has a slight dent on the left front fender and a small dent on the back of the car. Also the headlight has some water in it, but it works okay. They were asking $2995.00 but I got them to lower it to 1995.00 cash. Total $2250.00 cash with tax and title. I tried to get them to come down lower, but they refuse. They said a wholesaler will be coming to auction tomorrow morning and would pay $1995.00 for the car. My question is, do you really think a wholesaler would pay $1995.00 for a car like this? And, do you think if I bought the car for $1995.00 I would be getting a good deal?

- it has too many miles on it, its an OK deal, this car is really good on gas even though its old
- I think that is fairly high mileage for 1996 car. I have a 1996 geo that has only 118000 on it. Well final decison will be yours.
- I had a 1992 Sentra, and now have a 2003 Sentra, in the driveway. The 92 was an great car. Over 50 mpg on the Hwy. I wouldn't hold up for a moment, if I were you. These cars get 200,000 miles as a rule prior to any major problems, and frankly I think the older ones a better than the newer ones. Check it for any leans prior to making the deal, and happy motoring. Ross
- That 13 year old might get a little cranky. (sorry) bad pun. Remember it was the most inexpensive car Nissan sold. The 1.6 liter GA motor was not know for power and with an automatic trans any acceleration especially with the A/C turned on just won't happen. I paid in 2001 5,700 for a 1999 sentra 5 speed manual. It was a GLE with power locks windows and CD player and alloy wheels. Green-blue color it was a nice 32 mile a gallon car. I think if you really need a car $2,000 really is not that bad for a sentra that may last another 2 years..I drove it one year and sold it for what i paid for it.
- NO! not a good deal sounds like they need to just get rid of it. for intensest i bought a 1996 nissan sentra for 700 and it ran good during testing but as soon as i purchased it had to change fuel injectors alternator battery fuel pump and they just stole it. LOL but seriously the blue book value is only $750. SORRY.
