Can I sell beauty products on ebay?

For a while now I have been making my own beauty products. creams, shower gels etc. The bases I use to make up my own products are all soil association approved. so therefor are sls free paraben free etc. I mix in carrier oils and essential oils at very low dilutions. lower than normal ie 3-5 drops to 50ml base where I could add up to 15 drops. Ive read lots of books on aromatherapy and completed an evening class. so would I be allowed to sell them online ebay. Or at car boot sales etc.

1. There are masses of beauty products on ebay, however your's could do quite well if they are made from scratch. I would suggest you get the proper certificates needed though (the equivalent of Health and Safety for your industry) as you could be sued if you don't adhere to making them correctly. Make sure you advertise your qualifications/certificates in your advert. You will then have 3 months to advise the tax man that you are in Business (and immediately from day 1 on ebay- with a decent law abiding returns policy) Read the rules of Distance Selling Regulations (DSR's) google it!
