I want to change the engine in a car where can i buy a V8 engine? What do i have to do to the car to fit it?

I don't have the car in question but Im looking for a BMW M3 or a 3 series mainly. what cars could i get that i can kit up? and i want to put a v8 engine in it. What do i have to do to the car for the engine to fit? would i have to get a new gearbox? where can i find a V8 engine for sale? Thank you for viewing. but most of the cars with a V8 in the UK are really expensive or have so many problems with them that it would be hard to even get it started. plus it works out a lot cheaper to drop a v8 into a cheap chasis.

2. again what country are you from? why do questioners always assume we will have this information? in North America you can pick up a V8 at almost any auto wrecker. There are V8s that will fit under the hood of a BMW. I suggest you research 2 Guys Garage, they did this swap. This is a well advised swap as BMW parts are very expensive. you certainly don't want to keep the BMW tranny as it was not strong enough for the torque of a BMW engine. My advice is to buy the cheapest lightest car you can and stuff a v8 in it, you can put a v8 in anything almost if you know what your doing. i put a 394 olds in a 48 anglia. make sure it is safe when you are done.
3. Get one of those American cars from the 70s which have like a 7.4 liter that makes 155 HP.
