Is it a good idea to buy car parts online?
Somebody backed on to my hood and it's bent a little now. I have a ford 2008 fusion and I found a hood for $140. It says it's primered what does primered mean? Instead of paying the $500 deductible.

- sure primered means it is ready to be painted.
- keep in mind that you get what you paid for. if you get it for dirt cheap, that is just what you are getting, dirt. look it over and see if there are any dings or damage before you hand over the cash. other wise it is an as is sale. primered means that the base coat to the pain job has been done. it could be a good thing or it could be hiding damage to the surface of the metal.
- Primed means that it has a basic coat of rust preventative paint.
- Yes it is , good savings , however is good to research them before and actualy know what you are buying, in boby parts is not really much of a consern but electric parts and other macanical parts if you know a brand with a good reputation ,the better chance you don't end up with a piece a junk , many mayor auto parts advertise good parts but buy made in twan and repakage with their name brand, so like everithing else you can get good parts and bad parts in an autopart as much as you can get them on line quality brand research is the key and prices are ussually lower
