Students with 45% get in elite institutions thru quota system and those with 90% get out because there is no quot for them. 5. Where a millionaire can buy a cricket team instead of donating the money to any charity. 2 IPL teams are auctioned at 3300 crores and we are still a poor country where people starve for 2 square meals per day. 6. Where the footwear, we wear, are sold in AC showrooms, but vegetables, that we eat, are sold on the footpath. 7. Where everybody wants to be famous but nobody wants to follow the path to be famous. 8. Assembly complex buildings are getting ready within one year while public transport bridges alone take several years to be completed. 9. Where we make lemon juices with artificial flavors and dish wash liquids with real lemon.* *

5. You're right. Basmati rice in Indian shopping malls are costing Rs 200 per kg. Pulses are costing Rs 100 per kg. You talked of transport bridges taking years for completion & Sardar Sarovar Dam is taking DECADES for completion. Kashmir's goods take 12 years to reach Jammu via landslide, tremor prone narrow zig - zag road on loose mountains, not all weather open like Rawalpindi Road taking only 5 hours from Srinagar on that ALL WEATHER OPEN road of the same length of about 300 km. Indians are making train route on that for many decades. How can Kashmir's economy progress on that narrow & dangerous, mostly ONE WAY route ? IPL only few people watch. Tendulkar is so rich that he can buy the moon, a one day 200 run inning is a small thing to overshadow India's last year's budget discussions in media(it was a pre-planned thing like match fixing). I came to know that within 2 years eggs' prices doubled. Chicken was at Rs 40 per kg, is now Rs. 90 per kg. Mutton was at Rs 130 per kg few years ago is at Rs. 300 & 'khassi' at Rs 500 per kg. One friend of Mumbai phoned that the sea fish Pomphret weighing < 1 kg is costing Rs 500 a piece. All fruits, which were available at Rs 10 per kg are pricing now at Rs. 100 or more. Garlics costed Rs 400 per kg last month are now at Rs 80 per month, as if it is very cheap. Go to Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, MP & parts of AP, there are no roads. People cut jungles & earn living by selling them. Naxals are like that. Many eat ants eggs & dig garbages to get some rotten eatables in those states. Punjab has only 595 females per 1000males b coz of female foeticides. Wives are avialable on rent for few months from Rajasthan, MP, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa & Kerala. In Haryana, Punjab & rajasthan people are putting their wives & daughters in gambling, losing & allowing to be raped easily without any remorse. You must read the English weekly magazine 'The sunday Indian' edited by Arindam Chowdhary too. Really, Hindu India is incredible.
