where to sell car parts?
I have a large basement full of brand new car parts I have no idea what to do with. Everything from brakes, air filters, fuel filters, wiper blades, shocks, etc. The parts look to be for older model cars maybe 80's and 90's volvos, mercedes benz, etc. a lot of bosch brand parts I've been given the ok to start picking through and selling some of it but i have no idea where to even start. Do i sell some for scrap metal at first or maybe get my hands on a parts cross reference book. Idk what to do...

- Craigslist or ebay.
- eBay Motors is a very good place to start. Last I heard it was $35/mo to list either unlimited or a lot, can't remember. it's been awhile and i sold gasket kits, cylinder heads and motors. You'll have to either look online or get a cd that auto part stores get to match up the part #s with the right cars so you can actually sell them. If I had your parts right now I would probably call every mom & pop auto parts store around or even better yet, show up in person and try to move them. You may want to prepare to prove to them somehow that they're yours and they're not going to get in trouble. Negotiate a price and sell it in bulk. You have to give them reason to buy though. Small business owners are usually tightwads and don't like to spend money. Craigs List is free and you could get more money selling these one by one like the ebay store but of course that's a very slow process. One more method is contact an ebay store owner who sells parts and try to unload them on him. Be discreet though because ebay doesn't like you making deals under their nose without giving them a cut.Make sure you don't come off as some creepy stranger trying to scam them as he probably comes across a few once in awhile. Be legit and be professional and get paid.
