What would be a nice suitable first car for a 18yr old female?
So im looking at buying my first car sometime soon (when i pass my test :D ) so i need a few suggestions on suitable cars that would be cheap to insure. Ive got up to £1,500... I wouldn't really want an old model prefebly something year 2000+ .. the engine size would obviously effect my insurance so 1.4 at the highest. I did originally want a Ford Focus but they generally have big engines so others I had in mind are...Renault Clio, Peugeot 206, VW Polo, Vauxhall Corsa SXI Any other suggestions and out of those which would be cheapest to insure? Also would the insurance but substantially higher if the car had modifications such as alloys or tinted windows?... Im more drawn to modified cars Yes, it will definatly be a used car!

- Im saying first you should go for a used car. Maybe a ford, or kia is good. Something simple but you can trust it will give you great milage. I hope this helps
- Kias are cheap and easy to insure. Please buy something used since you are a new driver!
- One that doesn't allow cell phones and make up in it.
- The VW is my choice of the 4
- First off more than likely you won't find 2000 or newer vehicle of any kind for $1500 unless it has about 250,000 miles which is a lot of miles considering if there town miles you will probably need to get the engine rebuilt at 300,000 Second a 1.4 liter isn't much of an engine and that means it won't be that big of a car and therefore if you hit anything you will probably total your car and get hurt, if i was you i would get a 90's pickup with like a 4.0 liter which is still just a four banger and usually a used pickup from the 90s and 80s is only like $1500 - $2500 which aint bad, but if you want a car you will generally pay more for than a pickup but if you do want a car i have heard that pontiac grand prixs make very good first time cars although i have only driven trucks in my life so i cant really vouch for any types of cars
- definatly buy a used car, theres plenty of small cars about with nice sized engines ,look on autotrader, theres penty on that site which could give you some ideas, but you have got some good ideas already but look at the kias ,and the small skoda range there made by vw now and are not like the old ones .good luck finding your first car:-)
- Hey! First of all, big daddy! Yeah you that just insulted this person! She meant euros not American dollars, dumbass. Now I would like to answer your question. If you are looking for a car, I'd go with a Prius by Toyota, because they are safe, affordable used, and extremely fuel efficient. Really, consider getting one, because I own two Prius ( idk is that also plural?) and I don't think I will ever own a different car. Ever. They are dependable, run forever, money saving and really reliable. Right now, I'm getting 60 miles per gallon. Yeah. 60. Which is really important in today's rising gas prices. Many are under the impression that the batteries break. Well check this out: they have never had to replace a battery in a Prius because it was old and broken. They only replace them if they are broken in an accident. And if u get any other used car or truck, get a Toyota. They run for absolutely forever. If you are goin
- Dont buy a big car because you might damage it and you should get a chevy cruze. Copy and paste the link below.
