- rover p6 if u can find a cheapy, bolt on/off wings and plenty of space to work in, parts are quite easy to find aswell.
- I am 20 years old and love american cars too, I personally would suggest an F-body GM car... 82-92 Camaro or Firebird. There is so MANY parts available for those cars right now and are a very fun project they are also pretty cheap to buy.. depending on where you live you have to consider one thing, what ever car you do decide to get.. you have to think about the demand for the parts on that car... sadly enough, if you put $5.000 in restoration it doesnt making it worth that much... Lots and Lots of companies are making aftermarket products for GM vehicles that are actually real cheap because the demand for them are pretty high right now.. and I would Suggest a GM vehicle 1975-1990.... Camaro, Firebird, El camino, Trans am.. ect
- Hi. I could not tell you what car to restore, but I can tell you that I think, if that is what you want to do, you must find a car that you feel that it is very appealing to your eye, and you have a passion of that particular car and model, and you cannot wait to start, and drive it when finished. As it is a long proses, so you need the passion to keep your energy going to the finished product. Good luck and keep looking for that great car.
- what i can tell you is this ..3 months is not long enough for a proper job ...and by the time you have finished renovating ..add up all the cost and you will have lost money when you sell it ..check out website ..classic cars for sale ..free adds
- Define "Wow" Find a car you like, and take it from there. There are loads of old cars you can get. Triumphs, Rovers, Golf GTis, MGs, old Mercs, BMWs the list is endless..
- i think personally if it were me i would go for a classic hot hatch, something along the lines of a mk1/2 golf gti or possibly a peugeot 205 gti. Others worth considering are the xr3i/rs turbo, renault 5 gt turbo or similiar. Also bmw 325i/sport. Just beware of ones that have been thrashed and crashed.
- American cars are great but extremely expensive and difficult to restore. Parts being the problem. I suggest a Triumph Spitfire (convertible) or GT6 (coupe). All parts are bolt on (car designed with separate chassis) and engine is more accessible than any other car as the whole of the front body work folds forward. Parts are plentiful and very cheap.
- A car that doesn't have the Wow factor but is easy to work on,plenty of cheap spares and specialists and any restoration would be straight forward is the Triumph Spitfire. As a bonus you get a convertible sportscar which is cheap to run.
