is it safe to buy a used car online?

i was planning to buy a used car i saw on recycler website. recycler is a classified ad online. i wrote to the seller and got a reply back to give my name, address to Moneybookers, i guess its like Paypal. is it safe to buy a car online? is if safe to use Moneybookers? is it legitimate? please help, i never bought a car online before.

1. i dont know a thing about "moneybrokers" but i would seriously request the vin and do a carfax on any car and request the opportunity to have your mechanic review the vehicle in-person before any money is exchanged.
2. It is safe to use craigslist and go try it out before you buy it, otherwise, they could trick you and give you a messed up car.
3. That's a known SCAM. There is no car. Send money and gone fore good and no way to get it back. Buy only local so you wont get taken...................There is no car all info is fake or stolen...............&&& Would you trust to send someone a good amount of money site unseen to a person you never met??????
4. It's a scam. Don't ever pay for a car without seeing it in person.
