Are hydrogen fuel cars for sale, or they were never put on the market?
I was reading online about the release of these hydrogen vehicles back in 2008 but have never seen them around, are they not being sold? Doesnt Honda have them on the market?

- not sure about cars but the city of Whistler BC Canada had hydrogen powered buses for the Olympics. unfortunately the stupid things kept overheating and breaking down, costing the city and the olympic commitee millions of dollars, and are now stored in a shed and not used anymore.
- the make it
- They were never mass produced because they're still improving the technology, so I believe they were never on the market.
- dont worry,we will get the market once
- Yes, there are some on the market made by Honda, Hyundai, Mazda and others...early designs date back to the 1800's. GM and Ford have scrapped plans to produce them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fuel_cell_vehicles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_vehicle Hydrogen fuel related info... http://www.greenoptimistic.com/category/hydrogen-power/ http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn18511-sunpowered-water-splitter-makes-hydrogen-tirelessly.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItsmM6ENHdI&feature=related "Forget gas, batteries — pee is new power source Scientists can create cheap hydrogen from urine for use in fuel cells " http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31805166/ns/technology_and_science-innovation/
- Hydrogen cars were offered by Honda through is FCX Clarity and now by Mercedes through its B-Class F-Cell for LEASE only. There are a few hydrogen fueling stations in California and that is where you will find them. Both are in extremely limited runs. Honda has about 500 out there and Mercedes is planning about 200. The vehicles are rumored to cost about 100,000 or more @.There is a hope that such vehicles will "only" cost $50,000 to $60,000 by 2015 but these vehicles have been 5 or 10 years away for the last 40 years. A hydrogen car in its present configuration is an electric car that is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. So you might see references to a hydrogen FCEV. In this way it is like a solar car or a series hybrid in that it makes electricity for the electric drive on the vehicle. A hydrogen FCEV is like a dumbed down electric car. You trade range that most will not need for expense, continued pollution and a lower efficiency you probably don't want.1
- My theory is the oil companies (who are very much present all over the world) conspired to stop the entry of hydrogen-powered cars. Logically, their sales will go down significantly and will turn their multi-billion investment into nothing if people started using water as gasoline. Moreover, it seems that profit is not just their goal. the video will tell you that it is world domination that they're after. By the way, this is just a theory :)
