is summer the best time to buy a new car?

my parents will be buying me my first car sometime soon, and i want to know if summer is the best time to buy a NEW car. used car deals vary year around, but my parents want me to get a new one. were looking at lexus, subaru, and bmw. i heard that there are a lot of deals on the current years model during summer because theyre trying to stock the new years models and stuff? what do u guys think?

1. No it's the best time to take your Motorcycle out for a spin without any jackets. Just a helmet and a shirt, so you can feel the breeze :)
2. No, that is Oct/Nov/Dec because all of the 2012 models will be out so you can get a 2011 cheap and it is still new.

I agree with the second comment that Dec/Jan is the best time of year (for dealerships), but you can always find good deals towards the end of the month for dealerships as they have sales quotas, rent, bills etc to pay.... I suggest look at Lexus. BMW always break down IMO and Subaru's are lame. Towards the end of the month is your best bet forsure!! Good Luck!
4. No. The coldest winter months toward the end of the month is probably the best time to buy a car. But the relative price savings is little and it has FAR, FAR more to do with ones negotiating skills than the time of the year or any special "sales".
