how much is a car engine?

There is a 20012 chevy 4 door blazor for sale but it doesnt have an engine and isnt running. They are selling it for 600$ how much is an engine and would it be a good deal. Im 17 years old this would be my first car please help I ment 2001 im sorry

1. Given the year, it's probably some sort of neutron generator that hasn't even been thought of yet, except by me. I mean, 20012 is a loooong time from now.
2. Hi if it has no engine i wonder if it even has a transmission for 600 dollars as it actually worthless. not a good buy and the engine would cost about 2000 dollars.
