My parents don't give me allowance?
Im a 2nd year student in the Philippines, and my folks don't give me allowance Reasons why not: 1.I graduated a valedictorian in elementary (accelerated a year) 2.My father is the general manager of the water district of the city 3.My mother is a high-ranked office worker in our school 4.I have always been the 1st honor every year of my life 5.I am behave since i was 5 in school and at home (not normal) 6.We have an above-average car, flat-screen TV, a maid Even the money given to me by my relatives and friends on my B-day they get to decide what to do with it NO MONEY is spent in tuition during my high school year because valedictorians recieve a 100% tuition deduction (P18,000.00) IN our place Its important to some to have allowance the 1st graders have P20.00 allowances my 3rd phone was the oldest model of Nokia my classmate's parents have low earning jobs still he can ask anytime Ways I earn: 1. Running errands for my rich classmate (weird way to earn) 2. I take the part of the change when our maid is asked to buy something 3. Selling cellphone load (still mother took the money) we have our own house I wore my 7 year old clothes until now but at home only

- What can I say , kids are expensive! You have a phone and a maid . Be happy , why do you need money ....for rent ? for food? for clothes ?
- if you have a maid how are u suppose to do chores like kids do to get an allowance? ask ur parents to get rid of the maid and you will clean up for ur pocket money
- You are spoiled or trying to become spoiled. You think that your parents are obligated to give you money because they have money to spare. Then you justify it with saying that you are a good son or smart. Just be grateful that you have a good school to go to and a roof over your head. Don't become jealous because your rich friends have stuff you want because most of the time they end up not knowing how to support themselves and they become leaches to their families.
- when your old enough get a joooooooooooooooooooob
- Hi! Im in my senior year of high school and live in the philippines too. BTW congratulations on being valedictorian.I used to be one too. When i was still in Elementary. But now Mehh. #5 i can connect with I am so freaking well behaved both in school at home. My parents dont have any work which means they don't really have any spare money. My uncles paid for our daily expenses and my tuition up until my 2 older siblings graduated and started working. But they still do give me money on weekdays for school and at times when i ask it from them that is if they have any. My Advice Talk to your parents. Communicate with each other. Discuss the fact that you growing up and need some money for yourself to know how to actually use it and spend it wisely. But do you really need the money that much. I mean you have a maid and a flat screen tv. I'm guessing your life's pretty good but who am I to judge? Even if your parents have the money doesn't necessarily mean that you have some. Still you are in your 2nd year and you should have some even if its only a bit. Just talk to them make them see the light that your not their little girl/boy - haha I'm not sure - and you need some money to enjoy and learn how to live life. You might be able to reach to a conclusion you 3 will like. =)
