Is it okay to buy a certified used car online without test driving it?

I know not to buy a used car online without test driving it, but what about the certified used ones? Like if you go to the official car brand's site like Volkswagen.com or whatever and go to their certified used section. Are those cars good enough to buy online or do I need to find one in my area for the same price (which is really difficult)?

  1. It's always wise to have a vehicle inspected (if you can't drive it yourself) to make sure it's in good shape. Even "Certified Used" cars have been found to have accident history, frame damage, or other issues. No car is perfect, and some dealers are less than ethical. You can buy out of state, but just don't skip any steps because it's "Certified."
  2. === you can locate the car on line and call the owner or dealer and agree the time you will be there to inspect, drive, and pay for the car === do not pay any money without your personal inspection.. If the car is out of state or 50 miles away ... it doesn't matter ... go and look .. Some online sellers will tell you anything to get you to send them the money and then what you get is a toy car and it is not easy to drive that to the country club ... use caution when buying online.....
