Should I buy a new car with 25% down or buy a cheap used car?

I'm moving to a different state and am contemplating whether I should get a new car with 25% down payment or buy a cheap used car till I have a bigger down payment on the new car I want. I do have a job in the state I'm moving to, that is why I am moving in the first place. Anyways, the new car I was thinking of getting was an approximately 17,000 dollar mazda 3. I could easily pay this car off in 3 years. What about getting a certified pre owned car?

1. it depends on how much money you have and if you have a job lined up. save some money for later.
2. well since your moving i would say buy a cheap use car first. because it give u a chance to save up wile you settle in to your new home with out worrying about monthly payment on the new car. good luck.
3. Buy a used for cash. And never look back at buying a new car. They are the worst financial decisions most people make. That's why most millionaires never buy new cars !
4. You should wait until you can have a better down payment.
