Kit Car or Classic Car Restoration?
I'm having trouble making this decision: should I build a Factory Five kit car or should I find an classic car such as a Mustang or a Corvette and restore it?

- restore a classic car
- Kit cars are fast and easy to build and fun to drive, but they only look good from across the street.
- restore a classic car, you can find classic cars on tradingpost
- Kit cars are easy to build if you have a little mechanical knowledge but if its hobby satisfaction you are looking for and pride in your achievement restore a classic it will give you great sense of satisfaction when you finish it
- There's a world of difference between a kit car and a classic restoration...the kit car is basically a hotrod and a restoration is supposed to be stock, otherwise it's a restorod..
- Money wise, a kit car can be wayyy cheaper then a big name classic, restored to stock. You can get a Cobra kit & build it with fairly new Mustang running gear, & have a cool looking car that will have a/c, cruzz & heat, can be serviced at any corner garage, & the insurance won't murder your check book. A classic will be cooler, but run close to a 100 grand if you want to do it right.
- Look at the kit cars and then look at mine and you tell me which one...
