- you get a newspaper or not? if not, what dealerships are in town? go to their sites/see what htey have to offer....... is your local paper on line?...read the classifieds in it/see whats for sale.... make your picks from that...or local rags ..auto trader and the like that you find at the 7/11 stores... make an informed decision once you got all your ducks in a row and dont forget in choosing........not only is the ins. expense going to be major for you, but there is also maint./upkeep on the unit thats gonna be gettin your wallet as well....not nice
- There are a number of venues that list used cars for sale: the classified section of your newspaper, ebay motors, craigs list or any of the publications at the mini-marts that list used vehicles for sale. When you locate a vehicle for sale be sure to have it thoroughly checked out by a mechanic before you consider the purchase. You can also go to kbb.com or nada.com to get a realistic evaluation of a used vehicle. Just be careful, don't buy someone else's problems.
- Craigslist.com autotrader.com news paper ebay cars.com kellybluebook.com List of cars to start out with- Reliable- camry, Carola- pontiac grand prix Performance- 240sx, VW Golf ( Not me, but gets over 200,000 miles) Other- Buick Reviera My first car was a 1993 Toyota Supra. It was a NA when I bought it, but its been swaped with a 2jz gte engine and makes over 800whp. I only started with $3k. I worked at gamestop every day, and my dad drove me to work everyday till I got $12k to buy her. Keep in mind, you car can only get you SO far. I would save $3k- $4k more for a decent one, but who knows what you will do.
