Do car dealerships BUY cars from people?

Do regular car dealerships buy cars from people? For example: I want to sell my car. I'm not planning to buy a car from the dealership, so would they still buy my car? I have a 1995 Honda (it runs great, but the car has some damage to it-broken sun roof, completely needs paint job, etc). Any idea how much they would give me for it-if they would buy it? *Would a dealership like toyota or honda buy it, or another dealership?

  1. yes ... but they won't give you hardly anything, and if it needs too much work, they won't want it at all.
  2. no dealer will but your car to old for them they couldn't sell it sorry to say
  3. In that condition no. But you can sell it at autotrader.com
  4. A used car lot might, although most of those come from the auction, so it's doubtful you'll get very much. Most new car dealerships just send the trade-ins to the auction. They're not interested in fixing them up. Your best bet is craigslist!
  5. Just sell it on craigslist or put an ad in the paper. As F*&KED up as you say, it's about a 500.00 car to a dealership. How hard is it to sell a car? Just sell it and quit wasting time.
