If you were selling your car, what would you take as payment?
I am curious to see what people would prefer to use for bartering in the USA if the US Dollar was not available. Please answer why also. Would you take: food alcohol guns gold silver oil platinum electronics furniture land other currencies like the peso or euro What else?

- Medical marijuana despensery
- Gold & Land right now, the value keeps appreciating over the long run, whereas the car value would continue to depreciate.
- What the hell would I do with a few thousand dollars of oil? Even if it was just paper, oil would be a bad investment if there is another recession even if it the safest commodity. Same with food; unless you are talking about futures which is basically gambling. I wouldn't take furniture either because it is not liquid enough and I'd have to store it somewhere or throw my old furniture away. What else I'd take: 1) Contracts for future goods / services (this is what doctors used to do back in the day. Can be expansive list of what is a good and what is a service) 1. A) Contract for "amorous" services (Not for a car but it would be a currency) 2) Other consumer goods, especially in the future.
- Gold, because the price of gold keeps increasing, while the price of platinum and silver stay put. The other things are not liquid enough to trade. And I have had them all in my mansion already,
