Is it safe filling out your information on car insurance quote comparison sites?

- Don't give them your social security number, EVER. Yes, it can give better insurance quotes, but you don't want to just give that number out to everyone. All they should ask is your age, if you've had any accidents/tickets within a certain period of time, potentially your address, and the vehicles you want to get a quote for. If they ask for more than that, don't give it to them. Also keep in mind some companies may ask, but not require, this info. Just leave it out, if that's the case.
