What do I take out of a junk car before I sell it for metal?
I know I should take out the radiator, converter, and battery so I can sell that separately but is there anything else of value I should take out before I sell it for junk? For the two answers: I am taking it where they crush the car. They dont look for any parts they just care about the weight.

- if you do they may not take it, and leave you stuck with it.generally the deal is for a whole car, not one you took the scrap off of first.
- It depends on where it is going. The junk yard will probably want it intact (to make profit) but some places (like the metal recycling place down the road from me) just crush the car whole, with good parts on it and whatnot.
- I would include the things you said and if you have a aftermarket radio you can take that out to. Sometimes even if it's a stock radio, there worth a lot. If you could tell what car it is, it would help a lot.
- Take off the wheels and head lights/tail lights. Some people I know take out The seats and things and just leave the gutted body.
