Is it possible to have a classic sports car as a daily driver?
i was hoping to get a classic car but my only worry is that it will break down a lot. i can spend up to 40,000 on a replica or original classic sports car. Right now I'm looking at an old 1957 porsche 356 speedster replica (my dream is an old mg tc or td) but was just wondering if id being able to use that everyday and also if you had any other suggestions on a great classic sports car it'd be much appreciated.

- As long as it has been restored properly then it will be a reliable vehicle. Look to spend at least $25-30k for a nice one.
- I would not recommended this simply because cars like a Porsche are not made to handle all day driving and i am sure they will not handle well in snow/rain no one really uses classic cars a daily drivers.
- If your going with a replica that has a modern or updated powertrain then you will be fine. I also suggest having a back up car because the classic sports cars were not well insulated, against noise and it will be a big change from a new car. I have a 1979 Lamborghini Countach and I drive it maybe once or twice a week as its not very convinent ,I.E : No cup holders, very loud, rough ride horrible mileage, touchy carburetors, hard to find replacement parts, For instance I can't go to Autozone and get a set of Brake pads. I would say get a classic to enjoy one or two days a week and something newer to enjoy the rest of the time
- === you will look even better in 40K worth of newish Mercedes and it will not break down on the daily commute .... the classics are toys that are not daily drivers ... you take that classic to the weekend swap meets and shows .... save your money and the freeway break=downs and get a car that is good looking and worry free ... and keep looking for the MG tc/td
- Morris minor touring 5000 and BMW 35000 for classic drive and daily driving
