I'm 17 and buying/registering a car in Massachusetts. How much will insurance/registering/everything cost me?

1. 3 to 3.5K basic insurance, set aside another couple hundred for registration inspection etc... enjoy mass insurance lol it costs so much til you turn 25
2. No way to say on insurance. Rates vary widely based upon many factors including where you live. Boston is several orders of magnitude higher than a small town like Dover. Age, gender, driving record, vehicle type and value all figure in as well. Call around for quotes. Rates are regulated by the state so there won't be much difference between carriers. Basic title and registration fees are less than $100 but if you are buying a car from a private individual you have to pay the MA Use Tax as well as the other fees.
