Overhaulin'

How can we get our brother-in-law's 98' Grand Jeep Cherokee on the show overhaulin?

My brother-in-law's jeep cherokee is his love besides my sister. It's looking real bad. The finish is peeling off, the headliner has completely come off, the interior needs some real work. He does minor repairs himself but, the 98' Grand Jeep Cherokee needs some serious attention. We would like to surprise him with a job by Overhaulin because they do great work and we watch the show every time. How can we get his car on the show and what are the chances of being chosen?

  1. There are literally millions of junkers out there. Don't waste your time, sorry
  2. I'd look for a decent word of mouth shop that does complete restoration work and make a list of things you want done to make it "like new" and have them give you a quote. TV shows might go too far with the things they do to the vehicles they work on and they end up on the top of the car jackers and car thieves list of cars to steal since they are one of a kind after the fact. People who like to "stand out" with their cars and trucks are targets for the criminal enterprises. Need to do what the wiser criminals have been doing in the big cities. They invest maybe tens of thousands of dollars in state-of-the-art engines, transmissions, and suspensions on a car that looks like a $500 clunker. No one wants to steal it and the Police can't catch them and the car isn't a car the Police would profile as a "Pimp-mobile" since it blends in with the population. Good Luck!
  3. The show "Overhaulin" was ended a few years back. Chip Foose is no longer casting for this show that ended in 2009. sorry....
