is it worth it to modify my car?

i have a nissan maxima 1998 gle, i really like this car, do you guys think its worth it to modify it? i have another car wich i drive everyday...im talking about a full reconstruction from the ground up, performance, handling and looks, around 20 000$

1. You seriously want to know if it's a good idea to drop $20,000 on a $500 car?
2. What kind of car is the other one? The Maxima is more a luxury car. Not really made for the HP torque and Horspower nuimbers you will get with $20k. FWD axles cant handle it either If the other car is more of a Classic style car , then you can do more with it. The older cars have less restrictions for a States emission test. If the car is registered as a classic car, then no state inspection is required. $20k will build you a decent street /show car. good luck......
3. Are you going to make money from it? Racing or shows? If not, then no it's not worth it. $20,000 can make you a lot of money if you invest it properly.
