  1. That's a lot.
  2. WHAT?????? No way - ring around more places. Mind you could be your age, the area you live in etc. Still, ring around.
  3. ouch ... seems expensive ... glad i passed 20 years ago
  4. per year , 6 months, month, or what?
  5. Should be able to get it to about £1,000 Try compare web site or Quinn direct who my son is insured with he,s 18 thats what he paid at 17 should have gone to £500 now but little fool crashed! so it,s still £1,000
  6. It sounds reasonable. As a young male driver, you fall into the category the insurance companies most worry about. And that's why prices will be higher.
  7. OMG I am glad to be 34, but this does sound about right for your age. Try using a comparison site to find something cheaper. Maybe you can get a lower premium by agreeing to a higher excess. Consider also a quick no claims accumulation policy, maybe a higher premium, but you will get credited with a whole years no claims bonus every 9 or 10 months, getting your premium down quicker. Admiral supply a policy like this.
  8. that is alot of money. gets some quotes online at cofused.com i got a good deal there. could be your age.
  9. That's a lot. You could try Ask AA, Elaphant.co.uk, Confused.com, Go Compare etc. Although being a new driver insurance is very expensive and the bigger your car engine the more money. My brother paid about £1000 for 1.2 Fiat but it was so much money because of the size of his car. His car is quite big.
  10. yes that's not bad my daughter is 19 & has been quoted £1975 for a mk3 vw golf gti try direct line
  11. As the insurance company have no history about your driving they basically are saying we do not really want an unknown quantity but if you do want our insurance this is what it will cost. As you obviously have access to a computer why don't you trawl the net for other quotes.
  12. Thats not bad. Friends of mine aged 17-18 pay that for corsa mk1 1.2. Its expensive but cars make young lads show off and accident rates are high too.
  13. Where do you live - Afghanistan? Ring round or go on line and check, my cousin got his for £889, he's 18 and has a new Fiat Punto
  14. Whoa..shop around. Although, depends on your postcode. Try gocompare.com.
  15. Quinn Direct is a good company for young drivers - they usually give the same quotes for 1.6 as 1.4. Sometimes newer cars are cheaper to insure than older cars. Try using some car insurance comparison websites... http://www.confused.com http://www.gocompare.com http://www.comparethemarket.com http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motor http://www.tescocompare.com
  16. Try Tesco value insurance. I just passed my test and it cost me £380 to insure for a year. Mind you i am 38.
  17. would depenn on all your other circumstances, e.g postcode, licence type and how long held, any convictions or accidents etc. the list goes on. I would bet you vcan get it cheapeer if you check around though.
  18. I just came across this website you can find a lot of information on car insurance quotes: http://the-insurance-quotes.blogspot.com
  19. r u kidding no way is that reasonable
  20. I think it's great, I get twice that for a 1.1L 106. I'm 18 too
  21. seems harsh, depends on your post code try http://www.1stopcarinsurance.co.uk - car insurance directory
