What will I get out my car if I modify my Air induction system?
I have a 2004 Chevy Impala with an LA1 3400 V6 and I want to change my existing factory air box into a K&N Cold air induction system. What will benefit my car if I do that? Will I hear a loud scream when accelerate?

- You'll hear the noise of the air being sucked into the intake. You may get a little more power out of it. I'm not so sure that you'll be able to notice any performance difference but you'll hear the noise so that is something. good luck.
- always remember, the more air and and pushed air . will improve your h/p and save on gas. lots of things you can do, ,check out shops on the net for free advice,
- yh...im with these lot...it will increase the efficiency of your engine to draw in cold air and by choosing a K&N air induction kit u will gt better results throttle response may increase but to see a noticible difference save up some oney and buy a Garret Hybrid Turbo...u will c y the air induction kit is so vital...
- horsepower should raise 10-15% as far as the screem goes hold your hand over her mouth that should fix it
- hmm...i have no clue....i don't know $hit about cars...but my guess is that it will make a loud noise
- I have a 2002 Impala with the 3400 V6 and made a custom CAI with a K&N filter. Here's the thing, there are no ready made kits for the 3400 Impalas. But it's easy to make your own, get some 3" ABS pipe and a K&N filter with a 3.5"-4" opening. You're going to notice a few changes immediately, when going WOT (wide open throttle) the engine is going to be noticeably louder. Secondly, you're going to pick up a few HP, nothing crazy. Another good breathing mod is to get what is called the U-bend delete. If you look at your exhaust you'll see a section that is bent like a U where the downstream (behind the cat) O2 sensor is located. By opening up this section of your exhaust with a "U Bend Delete" kit you'll easily gain 5 HP. If you want to know more about modding your Impala, check out www.naioa.com. It's the biggest and best Impala owner's forum out there.
